Khalil Herbert 2021 (Bears RB)

Khalil Herbert, redshirt Senior (transfer from Kansas). 5'9/210, just turned 23 in April, drafted in the 6th round by Chicago.

We look at the game Boston College @ Virginia Tech, where Herbert (#21) had 18/143 + 1/29/1.

Good run, he doesn't like the gap, so he takes it outside, then breaks a double tackle and drags them for 9 more yards for a solid first down.

Again the gap doesn't seem to be there, and another rush outside for a 1st down.

However, from another angle, it's clear the gap was there, and I think he should have taken it. An NFL back needs to see that and trust the gap.

This time between the tcakles, for a couple yards and a first down.

Here he blocks well for his QB.

Herbert could be a bellcow, or at least a rushing RB on the right team. On the Bears he would have Montgomery, Cohen and Williams ahead of him. I think he can jump them, and be the de facto backup to Montgomery

Kyle Pitts 2021 (Atlanta)

Kyle Pitts has a huge level of hype surrounding him, but on the other hand, most first round TEs disappoint (to some extent) when they get to the NFL. Let's take a look at the game Florida @ Texas A&M in October 2020 .

Seth Williams 2021 (Broncos WR)

Seth Williams was drafted in the 6th round by the Broncos, but he was actually the highest scoring receiver at Auburn in 2020, ahead of Anthony Schwartz who went 3 rounds earlier. Just turned 21, good size/weight at 6'3/211.
