Javian Hawkins 2021 (Falcons RB)

Javian Hawkins, UDFA now on the Falcons, from Louisville, 5'9/196(#10).

From the game Louisville @ Georgia Tech (#10 had 26/155 + 3/15:

[0:18] rush

[0:28] rush

[1:02] tackled early

[3:09] pass block

[4:44]good rish

[4:56] short

[5:09] missed pass block

[7:21] failed TD run (twice?)

[12:06] pass

[12:54] bad play fake/block

[16:46] good gap run

Hawkins is the guy who won't break a lot of tackles, and then one time he breaks free and he's gone, because he does have speed. Javian Hawkins is not a breakout bellcow RB however.

As an extreme example, against Pitt he went 13/78, which sounds pretty good until you know that 75 of those were one long TD run.

I can see the benefit of having that guy on your team, but he's not going to be a feature back.

Kyle Pitts 2021 (Atlanta)

Kyle Pitts has a huge level of hype surrounding him, but on the other hand, most first round TEs disappoint (to some extent) when they get to the NFL. Let's take a look at the game Florida @ Texas A&M in October 2020 .

Travis Etienne 2021 (Jacksonville RB)

Senior out of Clemson, just turned 22; in 2020 got to 1500 yards and 16 TD on 12 games, more than a third of the yards from 48 caught passes (third receiver on his team). Clearly we have a serious RB here who is a prime candidate for the NFL.
